The kids don't like food to touch each other so we serve everything "family style"......

Ingredients for meatballs |
Ingredients for Meatballs:
2 pounds ground meat (I used lamb)
1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon each salt and pepper
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Sliced mushrooms |

Combine all meatball ingredients |
 |
Use an ice cream scoop and portion out meatballs - I made 20 out of 2 pounds of ground meat |

Gently shape into balls |
 |
Start simmering tomato/pasta sauce |

Fry meatballs in a bit of olive oil until brown |
 |
Place browned meatballs on a rack and keep warm in the oven |

Add meatballs to simmering sauce and cook through - place in a serving dish |
In the meantime, cook pasta and saute mushrooms. Serve with shredded Parmesan cheese.
