Bike Lanes

Rhode Island's paper, the Westerly Sun, recently published an article here http://www.thewesterlysun.com/news/article_f3133236-e8df-11df-9a5e-001cc4c002e0.html
that describes how cities are taking advantage of stimulus money and at the same time going green with bike lanes.

Around the United States new bike lanes and paths are all the rage, helping cash-strapped cities simultaneously green operations and trim budgets. Adding bike lanes is far less costly (to taxpayers and the environment) than building new roads.

Also, the nonprofit League of American Bicyclists reports that real estate values increase with proximity to bike paths.
The article went on to list the Top 10 recipient of the League of American Bicyclists top bike cities and Ann Arbor was not listed.  Seems like Ann Arbor has won other awards for walking and biking, but surprisingly, not this one.
