Dole Fruit

Fruit Smoothie
You got a love Dole...fruit, of every variety, available all year long.  We try not to buy to much fruit from overseas but in the dead of winter...it's a bright spot on a dark day.  For dinner tonight, I mixed a bit of fruit with whole milk and called it dessert - thick and rich and creamy.

Frozen strawberries, bananas, Mandarin oranges and pineapple
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 bananas
2 Mandarin oranges/tangerines
1 cup pineapple
or any combination fruit, measuring 1 cup per person
plus milk and water

For 5 servings of fruit, I used 1 1/3 cups whole milk and about the same amount of water, just enough to cover the fruit.

Peal, chop, and measure out 5 servings of fruit into the container of a high speed blender.

Add 1 1/3 cups of milk, or enough milk to come half way up fruit in the blender container.

Add enough water to almost cover the rest of the fruit, after adding milk.

Blend for a minute or so.  Pour into 5, 8-ounce cups and serve.

A great way to round out a dinner in the winter time with milk and tropical fruit, no matter where it comes from.
