New Floor Lamp

For the last 6 years we've had a very dark living room as the ceiling was never equipped with overhead lighting.  We don't use the room too much as it's cumbersome to switch on various little lamps around the room.  It would be WAY too much trouble to pull up the floors in the upstairs bedroom directly overhead and install new lighting.  We did install overhead lights in the upstairs bedrooms through the attic - a terribly  messy and uncomfortable job but not as destructive as the living room would have been. 

So I festered....until I saw a recent post on Dooce.com.  Heather just decorated a "meeting room" at her new house that included this new lamp by Crate and Barrel. 

It's on it's way!
